Police: Subject fell nearly 20 feet, sustained ‘significant injuries’ Feb 22, 2021 MUNISING — An ice climber was rescued near Sand Point on Friday, the Alger County Sheriff’s Office reported. Alger County Dispatch received a 911 call around 3:43 p.m. reporting that an ice climber had fallen approximately 20 feet and had significant injuries. The victim was climbing the ice formation known as Sweet Mother Moses, which is located approximately a half mile east of Sand Point in Munising....
