During the holiday season, Spartanburg Regional Foundation provided meals to 10,000 hospital associates in the hospital system to show its appreciation for all their hard work during the COVID-19 pandemic. We have never done anything like this, said Kristy Caradori, Spartanburg Regional Foundation executive director. It s been a difficult year for front-line folks. This is something we could do safely during the virus (COVID-19) and wanted staff to feel appreciated at this time.
Two-thousand meals were delivered Tuesday to employees at Spartanburg Medical Center s parking lot at 101 E. Wood St., Spartanburg. Each boxed meal contained turkey, macaroni and cheese, green beans, pumpkin pie, rolls, and gravy. There was enough food in each box to feed up to six people.
