Harvest surges ahead with more than half of the state's soybeans and about one third of the corn for grain crop out of the fields. "October temperatures

The dust has settled, and we now have a little clearer picture for the 2021 crop. Although the nation was in the grips of a major drought, somehow we were able to produce a much better crop than expected. That bit of news hit the grains hard on Tuesday, Oct. 12, and is resulting in the grains testing major support lines.

While school milk pipelines got filled, drawing milk away from manufacturing and limiting butter and powder output, the football season helped grow cheese demand and thus cheese production.

Warmer October Weather Furthers Crop Maturity

The commoditys price is up 22 percent in the past week and cotton futures spiked four percent to $1.09 - the highest since September 2011. This time last year cotton, was about 65 cents per pound.
