Quincy neighbors are in the process of turning a piece of the neighborhood's history into apartments. The apartments will be located on the corner of Jefferson and Adams Streets.

Over the past six months, nine new businesses have opened up including restaurant Bantam Bay and Boutique The White Rabbit Market.

The Quincy Police Department says they have seen a decrease in crimes such as homicides and burglaries because of the increase in patrols in the neighborhood.

With the help of a $50,000 grant from T-Mobile this building will soon receive a new roof and become the Florida Museum of African American History.
