In the early morning hours of Thursday (4/25/24) there was a monstrous fire raging in Brookfield. Teams of Fire Trucks decended on the Ledgewood condo complex on Boxwood Drive and learned they were in for a real challenge.

The Danbury Police Department is pleading with residents to set their alarms for 9pm each night and follow some simple instructions to avoid much bigger heaaches.

Recently, I did some research to find the Connecticut town or city with the highest monthly bills in the state. When all was said and done, one place stood above the rest..___, CT. The numbers were truly off the charts but Wilton was not the only ridiculously expensive place to live in the Nutmeg State.

We started talking about the possibility of an Amazon Fresh store in Brookfield back in 2021 and now in 2024, there is still no Amazon store and there never will be. Recently it was announced that a Big Y store would go where the Amazon store was supposed to be.

Candlewood is an eagerly anticipated horror movie that was shot right here in the Greater-Danbury area. The film was Directed by a filmmaker who happens to be from New Milford, Myke Foo Furhman.

It got me to thinking about how much of an uproar there was when New Milford put in a roundabout at the intersection of Still River Drive and Picket District Road. People were not happy about this and I count myself among them.

It reminded me of a Cold War era government bunker. There are very important, large red and green buttons. There are giant knobs and the room is littered with acronyms I cannot decipher.

When I'm done creating profiles of Danbury people from the 1800's I usually bring my attention to the buildings themselves. These structures have been here for a long time and it shows in the best way possible. These buildings made of brick and stone have outlasted generations and I am lucky enough to be among them.

That is exactly what happened with Waterbury's La BoriChina, I found out about it by checking out a video from a foodie named @thedamtok who is a well-liked CT food reviewer whose real name is David Milton is so well respected he has over 1.2 Million and over 70 thousand followers.

What I found was impressive, a little scary and had not been seen, in what appeared to be a long time. Since then, I've been given tips and nudges from our readers and listeners, telling me the next place I should check out.
