As for the investigation, cal fire tells nbc news that investigators have been in the area of town, specifically high valley road and bottle rock road. Thats ten miles northwest of middletown. Evidence is being collected there and it will be a long process. At this point its way too early to speculate on the cause of this fire or the exact location of where it started. We lost everything. 30 people have been displaced by the fire. The good in us is that everyone is okay. Everyone is safely escaped. Firefighters do not know what caused the fire although a witness told us that it appears to him it started in a unit that is not occupied. 11 of the 12 were occupied so there is one empty one and there was renovation work going on and that could be a place to start focus.
