In the international market, gold was trading in green at USD 1,722.6 per ounce while silver was flat at USD 20.68 per ounce.

The price of gold on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) gold and silver are trading in the green. On MCX, Gold is trading at a level of Rs 50220 per 10 grams on MCX while on the commodity platform, Silver is trading at the level of Rs 56346 per KG.

The price of 22 carat of gold is trading at Rs 45,800 per 10 grams. Meanwhile the price of 24 carat of gold was also trading lower. The price of 24 carat of gold stood at Rs 49,970.

Gold is trading at a level of Rs 49388 per 10 grams on MCX while on the commodity platform, Silver is trading at the level of Rs 55567 per KG.

In the previous trade, the yellow metal had finished at Rs 50,465 per 10 grams.

The rupee appreciated 14 paise to 79.64 against the US dollar in early trade on Monday in line with its Asian peers and as the American currency retreated from its elevated levels.

The current price of 10 gram Gold in the national capital is Rs 45,800 for 22-carat in India, while 10 gram of 24 carat gold cost Rs 49,960.
