The Yukon T1D Support Network has launched its Boulevard of Hope at the top of Robert Service Way in Whitehorse. It’s meant to raise awareness for Yukoners living with Type 1 diabetes, a life-threatening auto-immune disease affecting all ages. Thirty-five community-sponsored trees, lit up in blue (the Type 1 diabetes ribbon awareness colour), will be in place for all of January.
