TOWER -- A female pontoon passenger was injured late Saturday when the boat she was on struck Rainbow Island on Lake Vermilions Daisy Bay, according to the St. Louis County

The boaters, from the Twin Cities, hit an island in Lake Vermilion.

According to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, it is believed that the nighttime darkness, boat speed and alcohol contributed to the accident.
