Donna Dixon won Tuesday’s election for commonwealths attorney over Eddie Jones, the McCracken County commissioner who opposed Dixon on the ballot.

The results are in, and the Republican primary for McCracken County commonwealth’s attorney concluded with Donna Dixon winning over fellow candidate Eddie Jones.

Monday, Paducah city leaders reacted to a weekend protest ran by Patriot Front, a group the Southern Poverty Law Center labels as a white nationalist hate group.

On Sunday afternoon a group of about 20 people with white face coverings marched downtown, some waving either Confederate or Patriot Front flags.

 

On Tuesday, at the McCracken County Clerks Office, former Kentucky Court of Appeals Judge Donna Dixon, filed her bid to run for Commonwealth Attorney.

Practicing law runs in McCracken County Commonwealths Attorney Dan Boazs blood. But, after 14 years of serving the community, Boaz has decided not to run for reelection.
