This week, the Aviation Heritage Park will host its 2024 Hangar Party, an annual tradition that celebrates the rich aviation history of Southcentral Kentucky. Some may wonder how this event became a part of Bowling Green.

All performances take place in the Madeleine Wing Adler Theatre, Swope Music Building and Performing Arts Center, 817 S. High Street, West Chester.

Nearly a dozen organizations, including Christian Fellowship Center, Pivotal, St. Joseph County United Way and Sturgis Hospital, were on hand to offer resources and connections to those seeking information or assistance.

The city of Sturgis will oversee the drawdown of the reservoir area upstream of their dam and hydroelectric plant on the St. Joseph River near Centerville.

The organizations food pantry has been recently hit hard by families in need.

The driver was arrested on multiple charges related to the pursuit, as well as outstanding warrants.

Food boxes will be distributed at each location until supplies are depleted.

With a final turbo boost provided by a $100,000 grant, the Aviation Heritage Park Museum is ready to take flight.

The Sturgis Trojan mascot also made an appearance during the festivities.

More than $500 was raised through sponsorships, entry registration, a raffle and silent auction.
