MOSES LAKE — The Grant County Republican Party has had an identity crisis for the past several months after some Precinct Committee Officers opted to remove David Hunt as Grant County Party Chair during an Oct. 5, 2023 meeting, citing legal issues Hunt is facing and electing Andrew Koeppen as chair. Hunt said the October meeting’s chair election is invalid. Washington GOP Chair Jim Walsh expressed frustration in a letter to both sides of the issue.

Williamsville Mayor Christine Hunt, who took office this month, intends to replace Village Administrator Judith Kindron, who also serves as clerk-treasurer.

"Sometimes in politics, things can get heated and discussions can get passionate. And I would just say that not everybody is cut out for that," Rogers said.

“The smells and the rodent problem stems from the fact there is no water in the western channel due to the fact the dam is broken,” explained Dan DeLano, deputy mayor, Village of Williamsville.

Board members voted during a special meeting Thursday night. The village will split the more than $41,000 tab with the Town of Amherst.

Dan DeLano and Mary Lowther both took the oath of office before being sworn in for one-year board terms.

Both will take oaths of office in July.
