Installation of a packed-bed scrubber and the announcement of a Feb. 12 public hearing are some of the latest developments with Adrian's Crimson Holdings.

Government officials and the plants leadership are in negotiations to resolve the odor problem. Meanwhile, groups of residents are demanding results.

Crimson Holdings is an egg-processing plant on Adrians east side. The company has been operating with a new 100-foot exhaust stack since March 16.

The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes\u00a0and Energys Air Quality Division says the powdered egg plant continues to cause strong odors in the community. The company said a fix to its main exhaust stack should be completed by July 28.
