Two original dances based on West Virginias heritage will be part of a free performance by the West Virginia Dance Company on Sunday, April 14, at the Gateway Center at

WV Dance Company will bring its touring program, featuring seven professional dancers, to Greenbrier Valley Theatre in Lewisburg on Saturday, Feb. 17.

The newest show from the adventurous company invites audiences of all ages to move and explore.

This creative adventure, which will take place at the company's new studio in Lawrenceville (212 45th St.) will ignite feelings of joy and wonderment to momentarily let habits, responsibilities, grocery shopping, middle school assignments, old friend drama, dirty laundry, and bad coffee melt away. The piece explores how everyday life may get lost in the destination, but there's beauty in the journey.
