Cal’s impressive 2023 season comes to an end after placing 6th in the NCAA Morgan Hill regional this week.

The Bears will have mixed feelings regarding their uncharacteristically sluggish performance in the El Macero Classic.

The Bears finished in an impressive third place standing, ahead of three schools ranked in the top 25, including No. 7 Stanford.

Cal will close out its regular season this week, playing in both the Western Intercollegiate and El Macero Classic. With only one day in between both tournaments, how will the team approach this test of endurance and durability?

Cal was able to shoot up the rankings during the final round to claim a tie for fifth at the Goodwin Invitational. It was the third time this spring the Bears have finished within the top five.

Zheng split the John Burns win last Friday night in an impressive outing in Hawaii. As a whole, Cal men’s golf placed fourth in a field featuring three of the nation’s top-25 teams.

In an impressive first outing of 2023, the Cal Men’s Golf team secured a podium finish in Arizona. All six members of the team finished under par.

Coming off the winter break, the Bears will kick off the spring on the road by participating in the Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate Jan. 30 and 31.
