This weekend the good times will roll throughout Meridian as different organizations gear up to celebrate Mardi Gras before Ash Wednesday arrives next week bringing the first day of Lent.

Despite morning thunderstorms and flash flooding on Thursday, late afternoon brought sunny skies and crowds to downtown Meridian for Night Market at the Mississippi Arts + Entertainment Center. Night Market

Day eight took place at The Max in Downtown Meridian.

The family-friendly event featured entertainment by Daniel Houze, food, an antique car show, airplanes and even a jet flyover.
