A 22-year-old man was killed while crossing a dual-carriageway with his dog and getting stuck in the middle, an inquest heard today. Daniel Klepper tried to cross the 60mph St Helens Linkway in Rainhill before the accident two years ago. Bootle Town Hall was told how the garage attendant had ventured to the middle of the fast-moving road, but then hesitated, and stepped back into traffic.
