Protesters burned Israeli flags outside the DC embassy at a vigil for Aaron Bushnell, the US airman who set himself ablaze in a fatal pro-Palestine protest.

The US airman who died after setting himself on fire in front of the Israeli Embassy in Washington DC was an anarchist who grew up in a religious sect, according to reports.

The 25-year-old, described as the 'gentlest, silliest little kid' by a friend, said he would not be 'complicit in genocide' before setting himself alight

Hezbollah said it had launched a volley of rockets at an Israeli aerial surveillance base in response to deadly Israeli attacks on east Lebanon.

Aaron Bushnell grew up in a religious compound in Massachusetts where his parents are long-time members of the Community for Jesus church

In a text message he sent to an anonymous friend prior to the protest, seen by the Washington Post , Bushnell, 25, wrote: I hope youll understand. I love you.
