A Florida woman who was acquitted of murdering her husband, a prominent official at the University of Central Florida, was sentenced Friday to a year of probation for tampering with evidence.

Danielle Redlick, the woman acquitted of murdering her stepfather-turned-husband in their Winter Park home, will be sentenced on Friday for her tampering with evidence conviction. 

Redlick was acquitted in June of stabbing her stepfather-turned-husband to death in their Winter Park home in 2019.

Danielle Redlick, the Winter Park woman acquitted of murder in her husband’s fatal stabbing, was sentenced to one year of probation.

Danielle Redlick testified that she reached for a knife in self defense as her late husband pinned her down on their kitchen countertop. She waited until the next morning to call 911.

Danielle Redlick is charged with second-degree murder and faces life in prison if found guilty.

Jurors resumed deliberating this morning in the trial for Danielle Redlick, the Winter Park woman accused of killing her husband.
