The concept is simple: 100 (or so) women meet for one hour, once a year, and each one brings $100. Each member can nominate a local 501(c)3 charity by writing the name of the organization on a slip of paper. The slips are dropped into a basket. Three charities are drawn at random. The person who nominated the charity gets five minutes to make a presentation about the group, sharing what they do and what they would do if given the money.
