Boss Joe Royle says the Blues will not be taking their interest in Newmarket Town defender Darren Coe any further. The 25-year-old played for the reserves on Monday as Town rested several of the players who will be involved in tonights Youth Cup game at Liverpool.

Norwegian midfielder Vemund Brekke Skard will make his first appearance in a Town shirt this evening when the reserves take on Fulham at Portman Road (KO 7pm). The game was originally scheduled to be played at Needham Markets Bloomfields but the poor condition of the pitch meant the match was switched back to more familiar territory.

Towns reserves were defeated 2-0 by Fulham at Portman Road on Tuesday evening. An own goal from Kevin Horlock and a 22nd minute strike from Yinka Casal were enough to give the Cottagers victory.
