Authorities continue investigation of fatal Belmont County crash SHADYSIDE, Ohio – The Ohio State Highway Patrol continue to investigate a vehicle accident that killed a man in Belmont County, Wednesday evening. According to reports by the St. Clairsville post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on  State Route 7, near Mead Township. Troopers stated that a truck driven by 34-year-old Danny Dayton of Powhatan Point, was traveling southbound and went off the right side of the road, striking a guardrail; The truck then traveled off back on the roadway, striking the median, before overturning. A passenger, 36-year- old Kyle Bowen of Clarington, was ejected from the vehicle, and pronounced dead at the scene.
