Southern Constructors, LLC. will be closing Daspit Road to allow for street improvements to be made, according to New Iberia Mayor Freddie DeCourt.

The City of New Iberia advises motorists that parts of Daspit Road will be closed beginning Tuesday due to work being performed by Southern Constructors.

Bayou Teche Water Works has issued a boil advisory as of Monday, November 5, 2022 for the following areas.

A father and his infant child remained at a hospital with serious injuries suffered after a head-on crash Tuesday, New Iberia police said.

A multi-vehicle crash in New Iberia has shut down traffic in the affected area and first responders are treating reported injuries.

A man and his 11-month-old infant daughter have been airlifted to the hospital with critical injuries following the crash on Jane Street.

An Iberia Parish resident named Karlyon Michael who was last seen Wednesday of this week has been declared missing and authorities have asked the public to assist in their search for him.
