PETALING JAYA: Sime Darby Property Bhd (SDP) and Logos SE Asia Pte Ltd have secured J&T Distribution Solutions Sdn Bhd as their first tenant for Metrohub 2 within the E-Metro Logistics Park in Klang.

KLANG: The Sime Darby Property Bhd and Logos SE Asia Pte Ltd (Logos Property) joint venture, known as SDPLOG is set to develop the E-Metro Logistics Park in Bukit Raja, Klang with potential assets under management in excess of RM3 billion.

A joint venture of Logos and Sime Darby Property has achieved a first closing of its Malaysia logistics investment vehicle.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Sime Darby Property Bhd and LOGOS SE Asia Pte Ltd joint venture (SDPLOG) announced that it has secured preliminary commitments of 50 per cent for the first close of its inaugural industrial development fund at US$250 million.

The basis for competitive advantage in the industrial and logistics sector is rapidly evolving, with the exponential growth of e-commerce driving global demand for the sector. On the local front, a recent independent market research report by Statista shows that the total revenue from e-commerce in Malaysia will reach approximately US$10.95 billion (RM45.81 billion) in 2025, with the segment driving demand for more warehousing space in the nation.

THE industrial property market saw solid year-on-year growth in the first half of 2021, as the Covid-19 pandemic pushed demand for more warehouse space in the country.
