Buz Grossberg says he is absolutely certain: mountain lions are alive and active in Virginia. But officials with the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources have another explanation.

It was a busy year In Tehama County in 2023. The news included the resolution of a 40-year-old murder case, major changes in Corning within its city government, and the County Round Water Commission continued to make news.

When people spot these bears in the city, David Garst with the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources said that the cubs are 18 to 24 months old and weigh around 75 to 100 pounds.

There are more reports of coyote sightings in the area this spring, according to Richmond public safety officials. It may come as a surprise to some, but David Garst, a wildlife biologist for the Department of Wildlife Resources, said the animals are remarkably adaptable and can live just about anywhere.
