>> not as much as she did. >> one property owner who asked not to be identified said that renters of his home had been scanned 10 times. people show up hoping to check in and find out it is not available. >> most of the e-mail's come from out of country. >> a lot of the skimmers are overseas. we can trace it, but once it hits overseas, we can do very little other than inform the public. >> e-mails scams are on the increase. agents like danny murphy find themselves trying to work -- help people who were duped. murphy says the where is a so- called agent does not want to speak by phone. and he also says, be aware of deals at pricey properties. >> if you find a building that is charging typically $3,500 or $4,000 per week and you find someone on craigslist or some similar site that is offering the same room for $1,000, double check. >> technology is incredible and we are all susceptible to a really good deal. but sometimes you have to think, is it too good to be true?
