Sedalia Police Reports for May 17, 2021
Sedalia Police arrested 33-year-old Timothy Ryan Barrett of Sedalia at 7th and Brown Monday morning at 1:27 a.m. after making contact with a driver parked in a no-parking zone. A computer check revealed that Barrett was wanted on a Benton County warrant. A search of Barrett yielded methamphetamine. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold, where he was booked on the warrant, and awaiting charges on meth possession.
Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at 16th and Engineer at 1:50 a.m. Monday on a vehicle for careless and imprudent driving. An investigation revealed that Carmen Talavera-Sebastian of Sedalia had allowed her 13-year-old daughter to drive the car, because Talavera-Sebastian was intoxicated. Talavera-Sebastian, a passenger, was taken into custody and charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Her one-year-old and eight-year-old were also in the car. Tuesday night, Officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of East 9th Street in reference to assault. Neither subjects wanted to pursue charges. Charles R. Winsauer, 39, Homeless, was transported to the Bothwell Regional Health Center for injuries and then to the Pettis County Jail. Winsauer had a Pettis County warrant for Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree with a $5,000 bond and a Parole Violation warrant from Probation and Parole District 29 on original charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance. The Probation Violation warrant held no bond.
