A critic of a controversial quarry proposal in Niagara Falls’ request for the municipality to join the call for a “temporary pause” on aggregate mining developments in Ontario was referred to staff

People in a Niagara Falls, Ont., subdivision are opposing a company's plans to build a gravel quarry close to their neighbourhood on what is now farmland, with one resident saying having their homes just blocks from an industrial site could "put a damper on our future."  

City councillors, staff say having all stakeholders involved will make process open and transparent
