Buckle up hogie lovers: Will Kate Winslets detective track down the killer in time? Credit: HBO Grab a cheesesteak, crack open another Rolling Rock and get that vape stick going – we have a whole heap of Mare of Easttown theories to sift through. The penultimate episode of the superb Kate Winslet crime drama left us on a cliffhanger, with Winslet’s frumpy heroine Mare Sheehan hotfooting it to a secluded fishing spot to apprehend the man she believes murdered teenage mom Erin McMenamin. Mare of Easttown Recap: Case Closed? TVLine 2 hrs ago It sure looks like we found out who killed Erin McMenamin in Mare of Easttown‘s penultimate episode… but the killer might be looking to add to the body count. Sunday’s episode opens with Mare waking up in the hospital after killing Potts and saving Katie Bailey and Missy. She’s a hero now, with the press mobbing her as she returns home, but Colin is still dead (R.I.P.), and Potts couldn’t have killed Erin because he was out of t...

Tense crime drama Mare of Easttwon, starring Kate Winslet, is almost over, but will the finale tie these loose ends from episode 5?

My main thoughts ater this episode closed upon Mare once again launching into a self-sabotaging mission were 1. What on earth am I going to watch on Mondays after the show concludes next week?! 2. Its a testament to how good this show is, that even ater 60+ minutes of Zabelless scenes, I was still riveted by each and every little detail Mare of Easttown provided us with. If you couldnt tell, Im mad, and sad (insert Sookie from Gilmore Girls gif, Im SMAD). As far as my wellbeing is concerned, the last ten minutes of this episode never happened, and I will be going in full ostrich strategy. Because until I see a death certificate, Colin Zabel will happily be (not) solving c...

Mare and Colin track down the kidnapper but it leads to devastating consequences.

Have the suspects been illusions all along?

forward to Sunday nights but then HBO dropped Mare of Easttown and it’s officially my reason for getting through the week. This past Sundays episode left us with even more questions about who killed Erin, and frankly I can’t physically wait for next weeks episode. So thank god for internet sleuths and spoilers. Much like Mare, fans are taking their detective work to the next level, and what we have here is 1) a spoiler hidden in the trailer for Episode 5, and 2) a clue about who was dri...

Tuesday, 11th May 2021 at 5:38 pm BBC One’s Line of Duty may have finished, but at least we’ve still got Sky Atlantic’s Mare of Easttown – the gripping crime drama starring Kate Winslet as a hardened detective with a crumbling personal life. Advertisement We’re over halfway through the series now, and hopefully closer to finding out what happened to poor Erin McMenamin (Cailee Spaeny), the young teen mum found murdered out by Creedham Creek. And we’re starting to form our own theo...
