Strictly Come Dancing stars have led the tributes to the shows former judge Len Goodman following his death at the age of 78.

Lorraine paid tribute to Strictly Come Dancings Len Goodman as the news of his death broke live on air on Monday.

The touching sacrifice that Len Goodman made for his grandchildren before his death has now been revealed. 

Born in Bethan Green, Goodman would work selling fruit and vegetables on his grandfathers stall. He later became a welder in the London docks and he was training to become a footballer.

The news of Strictly star Len Goodmans death was revealed just as This Morning came on air on Monday.

Goodmans spokeswoman confirmed the cause of death after he passed away on Saturday night aged 78, having been in a hospice in Tunbridge Wells in Kent following a short illness.
