Police said led them on a chase nearby. A viewer took these photos and provided them to us. You can see the man lying down in a gurney. Now, this all started just before 1 00 this afternoon as we switch over to some video as Police Responded to a call that a victim reported that his vehicle had been stolen. Police eventually caught up to that vehicle on blossom hill road near the expressway. He tried to get away and ran into a number of occupied vehicles on the roadway. San jose police fired shots in the direction of the vehicle. The driver kept going and ended up here at this toys r us store. Shoppers were stunned. Ives ju i was just trying to out. But one of the more uplifting stories to come out of the earthquake 25 years ago involves this building behind me, the marriott marquee. Reporter the view lounge was swinging tonight on the 39th floor of the marriott marquee, a celebration of the Hotels Opening day that happened 25 years ago on the same day as the devastating 1989 quake. We were getting ive opened many hotels before. And, obviously, splg that you would nevada, ever expect. Its supposed to be a dance sell wrags.
