Every year, the United Way of the Coalfield allocations committee sorts through applications to determine where funding could be utilized best to serve those in need.

The United Way of the Coalfield has $28,000 in grant funding through the Heidi Badgett Fund available to youth and human service agencies.

United Way of the Coalfield has received $315,520.77 from Kentucky United Way to dispense for disaster relief in Hopkins County, which will be split between a pair of local charities.

To help get the United Way of the Coalfield to its 2022-23 campaign goal, the organization is holding a raffle for a Lake Kayak now through until Friday, June 30.
