Canton receives over $1 million for Water Treatment Plant Improvement project

CANTON One of the multiple goals of Canton Mayor Kent McDowell over the last few years has been to make much needed and necessary improvements at the City of Canton Water Treatment Plant.
The hitch, as with most projects, has been cost.
Earlier this week, McDowell was notified a grant they had applied for with the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) had been approved in the amount of $1,026,637.
The money, which will be used for the City of Canton Water Treatment Plan Improvement Project, was also announced by Trump Administration U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross.
