The army has taken custody of former Presidential Security Group chief Jesus Durante over the murder of a Davao businesswoman. Durante is accused of being the mastermind behind the killing of Yvonne Plaza, who was shot outside her home in December 2022. The army is currently reviewing the case to determine whether Durante and the other suspects will be dismissed from government service.

DAVAO CITY: Four soldiers from the Philippine Armys 10th Infantry Division (10ID) who were accused of killing entrepreneur and model Yvonette Plaza were arrested on Wednesday afternoon by warrant officers of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO).

The 10th Infantry Division said it has leads on the location of Cpl. Rolly Cabal, one of the suspects in the killing of Davao model Yvonette Chua-Plaza.
