RULAAC Raises Alarm Over Alleged Demand Of N515,000 By Police To Investigate Murder Case In Delta

ย  A civic group, the Rule of Law and Accountability Advocacy Centre (RULAAC) has said that police personnel in Delta State Command demanded N515,000 before they could prosecute an alleged murder case. This was disclosed in a press statement on Friday signed by Okechukwu Nwanguma, the group's Executive Director. Nwanguma called for the urgent intervention of the state police commissioner on the matter to ensure justice is done.

Nigerian Police Arraign Dismissed Inspector In Court For Killing Phone Seller Over N100 Bribe

ย  The Delta State Command of the Nigeria Police Force will this morning (Wednesday) arraign Inspector Ebri Ubi who killed a man identified as Onyeka Ibe for refusing to give him a bribe of N100. SaharaReporters learnt that Ubi would be arraigned at a Magistrate Court sitting in Asaba. The police spokesperson in the state, Edafe Bright, also confirmed this on Wednesday morning in a notice. SaharaReporters earlier reported that the Command dismissed Inspector Ebri Ubi on Tuesday.
