The health department is fully prepared to engage the community in dengue prevention activities to mark Dengue Day, observed annually on May 16. Continuous efforts such as larvicide spraying, fogging, and emptying water containers are underway in both urban and rural areas to prevent dengue and other vector-borne diseases. Recommendations for prevention include not storing water for more than a week, using mosquito nets, and applying anti-mosquito cream before sleeping.
