Todd Borg, author of the Award-Winning Owen McKenna Mystery Thrillers returns to the library to share his 20th novel, Tahoe Moon, on August 16 at 5:30 p.m. His character has been described as "A hero who walks confidently in the footsteps of Sam Spade, Philip Marlowe, and Lew Archer" by Kirkus Reviews.

Join the Friends for a Book Sale in the South Lake Tahoe Library Community Room on July 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. They have a wide assortment of fiction, non-fiction, reference and children’s books, an abundance of mysteries, and westerns. They want the books donated by the community to find new homes.

Join the Friends of the Library on July 9 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. for an interactive talk on the poetry of natural history and ways to have more meaningful experiences outdoors.

Join Suzanne Roberts and Lara Gularte for a special poetry event on Wednesday, June 22, from 5:30-7:00pm. The event will include a poetry reading, an open mic, and a book signing. This free event will kick off the Laureate Trail, a literary tour of El Dorado County Libraries with Poet Laureates past and present.

The Friends of the Library (FOL) Used Book Sale will be held on Saturday, October 30, in the Community Room of the library from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Their goal is to move out the many books, CDs, DVDs and magazines generously donated by the community. For $5 a bag, you can give them a new home!
