Library staff and local and state officials gathered on a humid morning July 27 to celebrate the groundbreaking for the Denmark Library, a $15 million facility in southwest Forsyth County.

Following more than five years of planning, Forsyth County commissioners have approved new construction funding for Denmark Library, the second branch serving residents in the southwestern portion of the county.

Construction of the Denmark Library might soon be underway as the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners approved extra funding to go toward the project at its work session on Tuesday, June 6.

Forsyth County Public Library is hosting two community input meetings to solicit input for the design of the new Denmark Library which is anticipated to open in late 2023.
