The policeman who held the key to the late Imam Abdullah Haron's police cell said he knew nothing and saw nothing regarding the accusations that the Security Branch tortured Haron.

The Maitland police station cell guard who spoke to anti-apartheid cleric Imam Abdullah Haron before he was found dead was accused of being evasive every time the subject of the dreaded Security Branch came up.

Tears flowed as the family of anti-apartheid cleric Imam Haron stood in the cell where he was found dead in Maitland, Cape Town, while he was in police custody.
