Hot Springs went on a 20-2 run in the fourth quarter and beat El Dorado 62-50 Friday night in 5A South action at Wildcat Arena. The Wildcats fell to 2-12 in league play.
El Dorado’s varsity girls moved into third place in the conference with a massive 64-57 victory over Hot Springs Lakeside on Friday at Wildcat Arena. The Lady Wildcats and Lady Rams are now tied with 5-2 league marks behind unbeaten Benton and Sheridan.
The Wildcats had a shot to win but missed at the buzzer and fell to the Rams 49-47 in varsity boys.
CAMDEN - Longview (Texas) escaped Camden Fairview’s annual Holiday Classic with a 56-54 victory over El Dorado in the boys’ championship game on Friday. Chris Head hit a short jumper with about three seconds remaining for the game-winning basket.
The Wildcats couldn’t get off a shot before the final buzzer.
CAMDEN - El Dorado advanced to the championship game of the Holiday Classic, beating the host Camden Fairview 53-50 Thursday night. The Wildcats will play Longview, Texas Friday at 8:30 p.m.
