Delhi police have identified around 2,000 of the 13,500 polling booths in the city as "critical" due to past cases and the likelihood of deteriorating law-and-order. Extra security personnel will be deployed in these areas. The total number of polling booths is around 13,500, likely located at around 2,700 locations across Delhi. The Election Commission takes a final call on the list, and each booth will have two head constables and half a section of central paramilitary forces.
