A SUPERMARKET has launched a new project to help residents keep in touch during the lockdown. The Tesco store in Maldon has started a new idea on its Wishing Washing Line whereby residents can wish for a pen pal. A list of the resident’s names supplied by Brewster House care home in Heybridge is now posted on the wall to the entrance of the store.
A pen pals list on the Wishing Washing line in Tesco Maldon Community champion Rhiain Oakley came up with the idea. She said: “The care homes residents are very lovely at the moment. “They haven’t been able to see their relatives, some of them don’t even have any relatives.
