Sarasota Police drop sexual battery charge against former FL-GOP Chair Christian Ziegler.

Police say there isn't enough evidence to support a rape charge against the ousted chair of the Republican Party of Florida, but they've asked prosecutors to charge him with video voyeurism.

Christian and Bridget Ziegler have been in hot water since a woman they used to have threesomes with spoke out.

But Sarasota police said they are recommending that Christian Ziegler face a felony charge of video voyeurism in connection with the rape accusation.

While Sarasota police won't pursue sexual assault charges against Christian Ziegler, they referred a video voyeurism case to the state attorney.
