Family and friends of a Florida teenager who died in a crash last year are questioning the findings of a report by the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).

After more than a year, FOX 35 has obtained a copy of the final crash report following the tragic death of 18-year-old Nick Miner the quarterback at East River High School.

It's been one year since Nick Miner, who played quarterback at East River High School, was hit and killed in a crash. His family is still waiting for an investigation to come to an end.

A grieving family has some resolution after they were told to remove all the decorations from their son's grave. After FOX 35's original story aired, state investigators got involved to help find a solution.

If you get into a crash, FHP troopers say you may have to wait a few hours for help, because they're short staffed. But they're trying to hire more troopers for the road immediately, by cutting down the application process from around 6 months down to 2 months.

Nick Miner's parents have been awash in grief and now say their pain is compounded by the fact that they've heard nothing about the accident investigation.
