Earlier this week, the Woodland Police Department welcomed two new employees to the community with a swearing-in ceremony for new officers Wayne Terry and Behrad Sarabostani.

It was a time of celebration and recognition for the excellence shown by members of the Woodland Police Department staff, who gathered around dozens of friends, family and city leaders for the department’s 2023 Annual Awards Ceremony.

The Woodland Police Department’s 2024-26 strategic plan included participation from all city department staff with the goal of addressing city and community concerns regarding public safety and quality of life. 

Earlier this week, the Woodland Police Department staff grew by a half dozen when they welcomed aboard six new employees with a ceremonial swearing-in and badge-pinning ceremony.

The Woodland Police Department celebrated a familiar and prominent face within the department earlier this week when they held a special promotion ceremony for new Deputy Chief Dallas Hyde.

In addition to alcohol, impaired drivers can include those using prescription medications and over-the-counter drugs, police said.
