Any day of the week in Connecticut, in one of the 169 towns in the state, there is likely to be a farmers market. We visited a farmers market each day of the week and talked to people who made soap, raise pigs in the woods, sell potato chips, make gourmet Israeli cuisine and sell Siamese fighting fish and bearded dragons. Here's what we found.

Mercado Popular is a pop-up market and neighborhood farm store in Hartford, located at 111 Allyn Street, in one of the empty, street-level retail spaces below the Hartford Carriage House apartments.
