Anticipated and widely watched testimony from james comey, the former fbi director who was fired by the president. Comey said the Trump Administration lied, plain and simple, about why he was fired, saying the president changed his story and that it really was all about russia. He confirmed to feel pressure to make the Flynn Investigation go away. Comey also seems to have taken the president s comments about the fbi as a whole very personally. Explanations, the shifting explanations confused me and increasingly concerned me. It confused me when i saw on television the president saying that he actually fired me because of the russia investigation. Although the law required no reason at all to fire an fbi director, the administration then chose to defame me and more importantly, the fbi, by saying that the organization was in disarray, that it was poorly led, that the work force had lost confidence in its leader.
