Next door, piers 1 and a half, i dont know that the public understands how decrepid that facility was and it had been condemned and basically left for dead before we put it together in the piers one and half three five, project opportunity that was improved by San Francisco water front partners. And then, moving down, obviously, the brandon street wharf and a new improvement that we are all able to enjoy. There were two prao ers there, 34, and 36 and both had been condemned are on their way there. And the removal of those piers was part of an arrangement that the Port Commission and the bcds Commission Set up to be able to focus the major public improvements for the Public Open Space and fill removal in exchange for being able to do the variety of land uses that we now see in the developments today. And then moving south into the southern water front, i think that the herins head park and the various layers of improvements that have taken shape down there. And for
Project and the pier, 43, and the other projects have not been. As successful. The warriors project, and it drew a lot of controversy, the people wanted to talk about the other locations, not on the port property. And the americas cup initially envisioned the Long Term Development rights which did not come to pass. And there was a proposal for the International Museum of women at pier 26 which was a soul source authorization for the board of supervisors and so the report tries to take stock of the unique opportunities that did not go forward. And draw lessons learned, for the public, to think about as well as the Port Commission, and when we have done the same with the Development Projects that did not go for ward. That every citizen believes that they own the water front in San Francisco. And that is a hard one for us as a commission to meet everybodys needs and desires. And i have come to respect that. And we also at time have to make some decision and we have made the decisions and we sort of know where i have stood and so the controversial projects as well. And we not having to go back and revisit that. I will start off with the division and i think that the staff has heard me talk about this, in 1997, reuniting San Francisco with the water front was a very appropriate thing and what i have not found in the stopping is what the division is doing Going Forward and i think that we have reunited San Francisco with the water front and there is no question that has happened and i think that we have them defined on the visionary level of what it is that we see it Going Forward that we cant address the for that and it is keeping the water front a center of the Recreational Activity and i dont know w
