Devils Ladder News Today

The El Dorado National Forest Interpretive Association will be offering TwO Interpretive Hikes on Saturday, July 2. Both hikes are at 10 a.m. and will start on the Carson Pass Information Station on California Highway 88.

The Eldorado Forest Interpretative Association offers free guided interpretative hikes in and around the Carson Pass area throughout August and September. These hikes vary from 45 minutes long like our historical Devils Ladder hike to three hours long like our water color painting hikes.

The Eldorado National Forest Interpretative Association (ENFIA) will offer a free Devils Ladder hike on Sunday, July 30, at 10 a.m. which starts at the Carson Pass Information Station on Highway 88.

Kerry Mountain Rescue were tasked yesterday to assist a male walker who had become crag fast and unable to move in icy conditions on the Devils Ladder on Carrauntoohil. While members of the team made their way to the location, another party of 3 got into difficulty on the same location. Kerry Mountain Rescue Team members roped the casualties and lowered them to easier ground. A further two parties were subsequently lowered from the same location, resulting in a total of 9 people requiring assis...
