Florida fishermen reeled in a massive catch last week, which could be a new state record, off the coast of Destin: an 832-pound bluefish tuna.

A group of fishermen in Florida may have broken a state record on April 15 after they caught a reported 832-pound bluefin tuna in the Gulf of Mexico.

An 832-pound bluefin tuna seems to have been caught by some fishermen in Florida, said media reports.   The catch of the fish seems to have set a new state record on April 15.    The pictures of the fish along with its weight were also posted on social media by HarborWalk Marina.   The fish was caught around 160 miles out to sea in the Gulf of Mexico. The crew took almost four and half hours to reel it in, the report said.

Fishermen caught the massive bluefin tuna on April 17.

The catch, which was reeled in on April 17, has not yet been named a new state record.

The bluefin tuna weighed 832.2 pounds, measured 113 1/2 inches long, and 86 inches around the girth.

It took three fisherman over four hours to reel in the humungous fish.
